A Chicago report states the American Medical Association journal denounces Falk’s claim that he has isolated the influenza. germ. IMPERIAL TRADE. LONDON, Dec. 18. The (Executive Committee of the British Empire League unanimously decided in viqw of the forthcoming Imperial Conference that it was most undesirable that the Imperial Government should conclude any reciprocal commercial treaty with any foreign country or make a declaration of foreign policy likely to hamper the fioc-st examination of all available methods for further promoting Empire trade relations. The resolution added tbat the Imperial Government should bo urged to negotiate with the Dominions for a separate reciprocal commercial agreement for a period of years. TALLOW SALES. LONDON, Dec., 18. The tallow sales were not held, but will be resumed on Bth January,i it supplies are sufficient. BANANA CARGO. SUVA, Dec. 18. The Tofua sailed at three p.m. for Auckland with 5638 eases of bananas.
