The surprising fact is revealed the “Daily Telegraph’s” naval contributor. that the British Navy instead of being superior in strength to that of United States as asserted m America, is actually greatly interior in every category except small cruisers. The correspondent, Hector Bywater, asserts this actually can he proved from a yardstick prepared for the benefit of United States delegation to London Naval Conference.
The United States Navy, in fact, is in excess of the Washington Treatyrat io. It understands the revelation deeply impressed Mr Hoover’s Cabinet and other American statesmen, who had hitherto accepted the propagandist's view that the American Navy was badly outclassed by the British.
