The special ’Xmas sale for fat stock vyas held at the above yards yesterday afternoon, there being a large attendance of buyers. There was a heavy yarding of cattle and sheep, but competition tfas good, and prices remained firm at a par tvitli those ruling at the previous sale. Good ox and heifer beef sold from 46s to 48* per hundred and cow beef from 40s to 445. Fat sheep . and lambs also sold well. We sold as follows: Ofn account of Misses Cummings 45 fat lambs at 26s 6d, 3 fat sheep at 295; on account of T. W. Butler 40 fat lambs (small) at 18s 6d; oi. account of T. Staines 29 fat wether 1 at 31s, 29 at 30s 6d, 14 at 30s 6d: on account of Mrs Cropper 1 cow al £9 os; on account of Jas. Donovan 2 bullocks at £lO 10s, 1 cow at £7 2s 6d, 1 at £9 12s 6d, 1 runner a> £5 os, 2 at £7 12s 6d 1 at £5 15s. 1 steer and 1 heifer at £lO os; on account of W. J. Wallace 6 bullock-; at £l3 15s, 1 runner at £ll, 3 bullocks at £l3 los, 2 at £l3 2s 6d, 5 ai £l3 los, 2 at £l4 10s, 4 at £l3 lost on account of W. 31. Harcourt 1 cow at £lO 7s 6d; on account of R. A. Harcourt 1 cow at £l3 2s 6d, 1 n' £lO 2s 6d, 2 cows at £l2 los; on account of W. A.
