A JUBILEE
OF PRESS ASSOCIATION. [By Telegraph, Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Dec. 1.9. To-dav is the jubilee of the foundation of the Press Association. A conference at which it was formed was held at Timarn on December 19th 1879. Those present were Messrs G. Fenwick, (editor “Daily Times, Dunedin who was chairman, Hon. W. Reeves, (Lyttelton, “Times” and “Star” Christchurch), A. G. Horton, (New Zealand “Herald” Auckland), H. Brett (“Star” Auckland,) 11. Blundell (“Post,” Wellington,) A. G. Frazer, (“Morning Herald” Dunedin,) J. W. Jago, (“Star” Dunedin) and H. Belfield (“Herald” Timaru.) Tha Association started with 48 members.
In. commemoration of the first meeting, the jubilee meeting of the Association is again to lie held at Timaru on February 20th next.
