Walter Crabtree, of Romney, West Virginia, developed such a grouch against the authorities who several thhes arrested him that he made out a list of six people he intended to wipe out. Before he was overpowered and captured he had called at three- houses, killing one at each place., carefully crossing the name on his lit t as he disposed of them. His victinlH included a Justice of the Peace vand a gaoler.
