COUNTRY CLUB’S COMPETITION
The first Country Club’s competition match was played on Saturday, December 15th, at Kokatabi, between Kokatnhi and All Saints, under very favourable weather conditions. Kokatalii proved to he the winners. The following are the results. All Saints players mentioned first:— Ladies Singles.—-A. Simpleton won [roni D, Higgins 6—3; 0. Stapleton lost to Mrs Eoolesfield 2—o; L. Evans lost to L. Monk 3—6; N. Olsen lost to Mrs Bail’d 2—6; M. Seeboek lost to E. Meliany 2—6; J. Ross lost to H. Kelly I—6. Men’s Singles:—J. Teller lost to F. Cutler 2 —6; W. Chetwynd lost to K. Higgins (jnr.) I—6; H. Osmers lost to Mr Higgins 6—6; F. Freitas won from Mr Looey 6—5; J. Rutland won from T. Ecclcsfield 6—4; A. King lost to G. O’Brien 5—6. Ladies Doubles:—A. and O. Stapleton 6, won from D. Higgins and Mrs Ecclesfield 3; L. Evans and N. Olsen 4, lost to L. Monk and Mrs Died rich 6; M. Seeboek and J. Men’s Doubles:—Telfer and Clietwynd 6, won from Cutler and Higgins (jnr.) 5; Osmers and Freitas 6, won from Higgins and Lonev 0; Rutland and King 3. lost to Ecclesfield and O’Brien 6. Combined doubles:—' Stapleton and Telfer 4, lost to D. Higgins and Cutler 6; O. Stapleton and Chetwynd 6. won from Mrs Eeelesfilqld and Higgins (jnr.) 5: L. Evans and Osmers 6, won from L.
