AMUSEMENTS.

EVERYBODYS PICTURES, * CHAMPAGNE—TO-NIGHT. The beautiful English star, Betty. Balfour is to 'be seen in a British International Picture entitled “Champagne,” at the Princess Theatre tonight. In this film she is co-starred with. Jean Bradin, the young French actor, who scored such a noted success in. E. A. Dupont’s “Moulin Rouge.” These two young stars form an excellent starring team as shown in “Champagne,” which is the first film in which they have appeared opposite one another. Under the skilled direction of Alfred Hitchcock the famous author-direotor, who also wrote and directed “The Ring,” they give an excellent performance such as would arouse the envy of many an American producer. The story deals with. a , wayward and spoilt daughter of. ia oharnp/agtno, millionaire, who goes to Europe and becomes a cabaret girl in pursuit of her unruly impulses. Also in the splendid array of players is a real Russian Baron named Ferdinand von Alton and Gordon Barker, who was born in New Zealand. “Champagne” is being released at .the Princess Theatre tonight by O.A.F. A topical, scenic and comedy will complete the display to-night. -Special selections by Mr F. Restieaux.
