CINEMA INDUSTRY
CAPITAL INVESTED. (Received this day at 9.40 a.m.) GENEVA, December 13. Labour office figures show the capital invested in the Cinema Industry is eight hundred millions, half of which belongs to United States, where the industry ranks third after foodstuffs and motor cars. Britain’s investment totals seventy millions. Of the world’s fifty-seven thousand cinema theatres, twenty-five thousand are in Germany and four thousand in England. American cinemas accommodate one hundred million spectators weekly.
