MRS BIGGS MYSTERY
QUARREL REVEALED. (Australian Press Association). ' MELBOURNE, December 13. At the Coroner’s inquiry into the death of Mrs Edith Biggs, whose body was found under the St. Kilda Pier on November 18th, Mrs Ann Hamilton, in her evidence, said that she heard some quarrelling in the music room at il.e people’s Palace at Melbourne at seven p.m., on November 18th. The quarrel was between Biggs and his wife about property. Miss Harris, in her evidence, slated that she walked along the St. KC la pier with Mrs Biggs on the night Uist the latter’s body was found. Miss Harris left nei i n the pier at about 10.30 p.m., Airs Biggs remarking that she wanted to stay and think about things. Detective Davev stated that l.e n-k----ed Biggs why lie did not report his wife’s disappearance before he u.4t for Auckland. Biggs, in reply, quoted from the Bible the First Epistle of si;. Paul ot the Corinthians, chapter seven. The Coroner, after hearing other evidence, recorded an open verdict.
