MINERS ENROLLED
TO WORK ROTHBURY MINE. (Australian Press Association). (Received this day at 8 a.m.) • SYDNEY, Dec. 13. Sufficient men were enrolled to-day to fully staff Rothbury Colliery. Delegates (of mining, unions who have been meeting at Newcastle since Monday, to-day resolved to.declare a .general strike in the coal industry. It is hoped this may enable the Federal Government -to- intervene. - It is further reported that the Mining Engine Drivers’ Assn., which is running counter to the Miners’ Federation, has resolved to work with the Government’s recruited labour at Rothbury and other collieries.
