MAORI WORKER KILLED. [By Telegraph, Per Press Association, i AVAIROA, December 10. A Maori, Maunga Taylor, a married man, employed at a Public Works quarry, fell one hundred feet on to his head, and sustained severe internal injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he died this afternoon, EMPIRE FREE TRADE AGITATION LONDON, Dec. 10. Lord Beaver brook, Mr McCurdy, and Sir Hugo Cunliffe-Owen, have issued an appeal, published in the newspapers throughout the country to all who believe in the ideal of Free Trade within the Empire, to enrol as foundation members of an “Empire Crusade.” Men and women supported Lord Beaverbrook’s policy will he called later to a convention, which will not be tied by any existing political' party.
