ALTER NA’iIVE SERVICE. (By Telegraph, Per Press Association. l AUCKLAND, December 10. A proposals which it was considered might offer a final solution to the problem of finding a suitable alternative service for conscientious objectors to military service was cordially approved by the Auckland Presbytery to-day, when the following resolution was carried: “That the Presbytery of Auckland welcomes the proposal that, when exemption from military service has been granted to conscientious objectors, the alternative service should he at work at orphanage institutions of the denominations concerned.”
