AUCKLAND SPEEDWAY MEETING (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 9. The second dirt track motor cycle meeting in Auckland was held at Westorn Springs Speedway to-night. There were numerous spills, C. Goodwin fell and broke his collarbone. The results were:— Improvers’ Handicap, one mile. — A. McLaren (0.E.C.), lOsecs 1; P. Butler (A.J.S.)j lOsecs 2. Time 1.55 2-5. Speedway Handicap.—A. McLaren (0.E.C.) lOsecs 1; H. Stevenson (Nem Imperial) lOsecs 2. Time 1.51 4-5. Big 12 Handicap.—A. Mann (Australia (Douglas machine) scr 1; C. Goldberg (Royal Enfield) 4sec 2. Time 1.45. 111 an Australian match race, S. Perkins, on a Harley-Davidson, narrowly defeated A. Mann (Douglas) in 1.43, the fastest time of the evening. Six thousand spectators were present.
