LATE LOCALS.

A meeting of creditors in the bankruptcy of Mr Francis Orr was held this morning at the Magistrate’s Court, the Official Assignee, Mr C. W. Carver presiding. The bankrupt’s statement showed secured debts £750, unsecured debts £379 10s 4d and secured property £650, unsecured property, book debts £290, the deficiency being estimated at £149 4s 2d. The Chairman stated lie had not had time to investigate the estate and after the bankrupt; had been examined at length, the following resolution pvas carried—That the ; ' meeting stand adjourned sine die, the Assignee being authorised to • procure the assistance of an accountant to investigate the hooks and to take such action as was considered necessary to determine the position of the bankrupt and his brother in regard to .their dissolved partnership, the ownership of the furniture and any other action deemed necessary. The meeting • concluded with a vote of thanks to the Chairman.
