BRITAIN'S BEEII AND TEA. (United Press Association—By Electric. Telegraph—Copyright). (Received this day at noon.) LONDON, Dec. 3: Britain’s thirst is being increasingly quenched by tea and less by beer. The latter for the year ended 31st. March, .amounted to twenty million standard barrels, which was tlic lowest since the'duty was raised in 1920-21, whereas tea increased two per cent, to the total of 412 million pounds. The severity of the winter; accounted for a sudden jump in whisky ito a total of thirteen million proof. gallons, but wine declined.
