REACHES AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 1. The American luxury liner Alalolo, which is making a tour of the Pacific Ocean, arrived at Auckland from Sydney this morning. Her trip was promoted by the iSan. Francisco Chamber of Commerce to enable business men to come into persona] contact with the peoples of the Pacific. are 350 Americans on board the liner. Women are in the. majority. The men include leaders in business and professional classes from various parts of America. Hon. J. G. Cobbe represented tlie Government at an official welcome to them. Half of the visitors left for Rotorua this morning, and the other half will go there to-morrow. A comprehensive programme of sightseeing has been arranged. . The Malolo leaves for Suva on Tuesday night.
