TRAVEL FACILITIES.
N.Z. CONCESSION'S. WELLINGTON, Nov. '2B. Another extension of the travel facilities for tlici general public is announced by the General Manager of Railways. Up to the present, the issue of tickets and the reservation of seats and sleeping berths have been restricted to a period of 14 days preceding the day of travel. This restriction will be removed on and after Alonday next, 2nd December, and prospective passengers on ordinary trains or holiday excursion or other reduced fare trains, will be able to get their tickets and seats or berth reservations at any time before the dav of travel.
ELDERLY WOMAN'S SUICIDE,
OH RjISTCHURCH, Nov. 28
When Will tor Edward Monday, draper. Sydenham, returned to liis home in Salisbury Street, for lunch to-day. he found his wife, Florence Monday, aged 09 years, lying; dead in the scullery, with her head in the gas oven. At the inquest this afternoon, the Coroner. Mr 10. 0. Levve.v. returned a verdict of suicide* while in a. state of mental disturbance. The husband, in liis evidence, said that his wife was in her normal health, hut she had been somewhat depressed over some family trouble with her people. She had given no indication of an intention to take her own life. P. AND T. OFFICERS. WELLINGTON. Nov. 28. The Post and Telegraph Officers Association, at a meeting this week decided that it would not support any political party, but would carry on in a constitutional wav.
