The favourite in the Inst race at Alexandra Park on Saturday and sold by auction of £l3 13s at a horse sale at Pukekohe yesterday, is a contrast in values that has befallen tbe wellknown trotting horse Brutus in the last three days, Fancied on the totalisator to the extent of £1603, Brutus started on Saturday in the last race with pride of place as far as public opinion went. However he managed to finish onlv seventh in a field of thirteen. FORBURY TROTS—FIRfsT DAY DUNEDIN, Nov. 28. The weather is fine but overcast for the opening day of the Forbury Park meeting.
