The favourite in the Inst race at Alexandra Park on Saturday and sold by auction of £l3 13s at a horse sale at Pukekohe yesterday, is a contrast in values that has befallen tbe wellknown trotting horse Brutus in the last three days, Fancied on the totalisator to the extent of £1603, Brutus started on Saturday in the last race with pride of place as far as public opinion went. However he managed to finish onlv seventh in a field of thirteen. FORBURY TROTS—FIRfsT DAY DUNEDIN, Nov. 28. The weather is fine but overcast for the opening day of the Forbury Park meeting. The track is very heavy after rain, and attendance good. Roslvn Handicap:—(4l Standby 1. (1) Ambition 2, (2) Kittv Patch 3. Scr. Nancy McKinney. Won bv a head, third 60 yards away. Time 4.33 2-5. St. Kilcla Handicap:—(3) Dilnon 1, (2) Reddy 2, (1) Morning Sun 3. Scr. Milo Minto, Return Vovnge. Won by six lengths each way. Time 2.18 3-5.
