COAL DEADLOCK. STILL UNSOLVED. (Australian Press Association) (Received this day at 8 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 26. The Coal Conference which met at Sydney to-day has not yet solved the deadlock and adjourned till to-morrow afternoon. The position is reported to be hopeful. ACQUITTED OF MANSLAUGHTER. SYDNEY, November 27. At the Criminal Court, Sydney, Peyey Spittleliouse, aged 31, charged with manslaughter, was acquitted and discharged. The case arose out of a motor lorry accident on August 11th, when two persons were killed at Newtown. •N.S.W. BUDGET. SOME ,OF THE PROPOSALS. SYDNEY, Nov. 27. The draft of the Budget was considered by the State Cabinet. Treasurer Stevens hopes to forecast a reduction of taxation on incomes from personal exertion, and a repeal of the super-tax on profits of companies. Another proposal is a reduction in salaries of members of Parliament.
