Members >'of. Parliament .were: again disappointed in the trip 0f.R.101. Heavy rain aiwL a* galeMeCerredninaiiy! from going to Cardington, others taking the chance. The first hitch was when a weight connected with the lift became detached and the lift was put out of action. The last twenty-five guests climbed 314 steps in order to board the airship, where everybody lunched satisfactorily. It was then announced that the trip had been abandoned, firstly owing to the rain, which had so weighted the envelope that wit]! such a large party the ship might be overburdened. Secondly, if the gale persisted, it might be difficult to inoor her again. The final decision was left with Lord Thomson, who wired apologies hi t said in the circumstances the flight lriiist he postponed.
