SCHOOL FIRE

SUSPICIOUS ORIGIN. (By Telegraph—Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 22. Damage to the extent of about £2OO was done by fire in the manual training department of Sydenham School tin’s morning. A fire v r ns discovered hv a policeman at halt-past two, and when the Brigade arrived the flames had a good hold. As no one should have been in the building after five o’clock, and as the fire obviously started on the landing of the stairs, where there was nothing that could have led to accidental or spontaneous ignition, it is believed the fire was of incendiary origin.
