The quarterly meeting of Lodge Westland No. 89, U.A.0.D., was held last evening, A.D. Bro. Noble presiding over a good attendance of members. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Outward correspondence was read and approved and inward read and received. Bards reported seven brothers were on the sick-list. Sick pay to the amount of £8 was passed. Accounts passed, for payment totalled £7O Bs, and also an amount for salaries of lodge officers and a maternity bonus. The election of officers then took place anti the chairs were filled, subject to installation next lodge night. A discussion on the report oif the deputation to the Hospital Board took place and it was decided to place the Board’s offer before members, a ballot to be taken to test the opinion on the subject. The lodge voted £lO to a brother in distress. This concluded the business and the lodge closed in harmony. I
