QUEENSLAND WANTS VISIT

The Queensland Cricket Association has refused to cancel the match with the Marylebone team, on the ground that it must keep faith with the public. The hope was expressed by the Chairman of the Association, Mr Stephens, to-day, that the M.C.C. players would in the interests of the.best traditions of British sportsmanship, honour tljeir arrangements. : SYDNEY, November.2l.
The Marylebone cricketer Nichols is suffering from tonsilitis, and will he unable to play to-morrow..

The vice-captain of Marylebone beam (Mr Earle) told a Sydney “ Herald ’* representative to-night that -the M.C.C. men had decided to fulfil the Brisbane fixture.
Mr Oxhide (Chairman of the Australian Board of Control) stated he had not yet received replies from all members of the Board, in regard to; Mr Gilligan’s request to be released from the Brisbane fixture.
