MINING COMPANY CRITICISED

Considerable criticism, of the Kildare Consolidated Gold Mining Company was levelled by members of the Stock Exchange this morning when a letter was received reporting that a slip occurred when cleaning up the paddock last week, necessitating deferring the taking out of the bulk of the gold from the present paddock. It was considered that the Exchange should have been notified by wire when the slip occurred- Subsequently 900 shares changed hands at prices ranging from. Is Gd to Is 3d.

In the course of a"speech at the laying of:the foundation stone of the new milk station in Tory Street this, afternoon. the Mayor, Mr G. A. Troup, stated that the net .profit for the past year of the City Milk Department was £7053. and it was the lowest of any made during the past five years.

It was impossible to get hack hv way of the stairs; so, with great presence of mind, Air Ross,flashed to the window and jumped through the flames on to the fire escape. Both his hands were badly burned, and lie will he out of action for at least two weeks.!
