WEDDING BELLS
A pretty wedding was solemnised at St Patrick’s Church yesterday morning, the contracting parties being >oim James Kennedy, third son of Air and All’s J. Kennedy, of Grey mouth, to Alary Catherine Finlay, eldest daughter of Mr AV. Finlay, of AVellington. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Holohan, who also celebrated the Nuptial ATass. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was daintily attired in a white georgette frock with iberthe colour and uneven hemline. She wore a wreath and veil, and carried a shower bouquet. The bridesmaids were Miss Vera Finlay (cousin of the bride) and Miss Maureen Willis, who wore pink and blue georgette frocks and black picture hats. They both carried spray bouquets. The bridegroom was attended by Us brother, Mr Alan Kennedy as best man, and Mr Jim Brown as groomsman. As the bridal couple left the church, the wedding march was played by Afiss AT. AfcSherry. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a Fox fur, and to Afiss Finlay, a toilet set, to ATiss Willis, a gold armlet. The bride’s gift to the bridegroom was a solid leather suit case.
