PALMERSTON N., Nov. 21. .
At a meeting of the Massey Agricultural College Council, Professor Peren reported that at the request of the Wool Research Committee, fleeces of a distinct type had been selected from various flocks for dispatch' to British Woollen and "Worsted Association’s laboratories at Leeds. These will be submitted to spinning tests for reports on the commercial value of various types. Professor * Riddet, director of the Dairy Research Institute, reported research work in the cheese investigations met with great progress since the beginning of September. Last year’s work on the openness of cheese is being continued, and in addition experiments on connected factors influencing the maturity of cheese. Additional funds just recently have been made available for other lines df dairy research work. Arrangements have been made for experiments in the manufacture of butter and factors affecting the purity of milk will be started in the immediate future.
