The State Alinister of Alines, Air AVeaver, still announces that the Government are determined to appeal for miners to work the Rothbury Colliery to-morrow. He says that the Government will not be dismayed by the threat of an industrial upheaval.
In the event of a general stoppage of. coal .supplies, there is sufficient coal on hand .to carry on.the essential;services until Christmas. • . -

Rothbury Aimers’ Lodge unanimously decided to-day to refuse to work at the local mine when .it is thrown open by the State Government tomorrow.

The Alining Unions are now looking to the Federal Government to prevent a. general strike on the coalfields. •The Federal Cabinet is considering a proposal to summon an emergency conference composed of representatives of the Federal and thq Nei\ South AVnles State Governments, and the coal owners and the coal miners.
SUPPORT FOR THE MINERS
MELBOURNE, Nov. 19
'Hie Executive of the Australian Council of Trades Unions is calling up on all the Unions to give all possible financial and moral support to the coal miners’ Unions in any action which they “miiy be compelled to take.”
