O’Connor, and took to him a message of sympathy and of good wishes from the King. Though he was asleep, Mr O’Connor awoke. He smiled and nodded to show .that .he understood the Kings message. During the night he lost consciousness, and he gradually became weaker, until death supervened. [Deceased was 80 years of age ; came to London fifty-six years agofounded successively the “ Star,” the “ Sun,” 4 Weekly Sun,” “M.A.P.,” “ T.P.’s Weekly,” “ T.P.0,,” “ T.P.’s Magazine,” and “T.P.’s Journal ” (1914). Brilliant with pen and tongue; for forty years President of the United Irish League of Great Britain One of a commission to report on riots in Liverpool, 1911. Became censor of films in 1917, “ Father ” of the House of Commons and was entertained by all parties at a luncheon in 1923. A street in Athens has been named in his honour. Made a Privy Councillor in June, 1924. Edited “T.P.’s Weekly” and writes memoirs in the “ Daily Telegraph.”]
