PIGEONS

At a meeting of the Hokitika Junior Pigeon Civb held last evening it was decided that the Westland Derby be held from 'Vaiho on nr about the 4th. January, 1930. Entries close with the Secretary on 31st; December. Entry fee 2s 6d for Ist bird, and every bird thereafter Is 6d.

The result of last Saturday’s pigeon race from Ross is as follows: —D. Ballinger’s Redwing Ist. (13min.); T. McIjntyre’s Flyback 2nd. (lomin.) ; A. Lynch’s Comeback 3rd. (lfiminj; Schroder and Findlay’s Lindberg 4th. (17min. 20sec.)

The next race will lie held from Ross on Saturday, Nov. 23rd. Entries close with the Secretary on Friday evening at 7.30 p.m.
