HOTEL BURNT

CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 18. The Ashley Bank Hotel, about 20 miles from Christchurch, was completely destroyed by fire this afternoon. The building was a wooden one of twenty, rooms. The fire broke out in the kitchen, near the Hot water cylinder, and it spread so quickly that there was no time to save anything but a few clothes. The hotel was built in 1901, and was' owned by Mr Walter Ford of Christchurch. The licensee was, Mr Anthony Sealmar, formerly of Colxlen. The furniture was insured for £IOOO in ihe Royal Office.
