Under the charter of the Bank of International iSettlement. which will have its headquarters at Basle, Switzerland, the Swiss Government agrees not to repeal or amend the charter except by an agreement on the part of the organising Powers. The bank will be exempt from taxation and stamp duties, and will be immune from control or confiscation in times of peace or war. It is to be immune from any restriction on gold export.
