jack A molt, one of the most pop-' and capable track riders, was killed instantly in a crash at Davis Park speedway. Arnott was thrown clear of the track and two other riders managed to avoid him. A third, however, alter a frantic effort to stop, crashed into Arnott’s prostrate form. Arnott was a native of New Zealand, where he won numerous championships and lie also held several Australian records. He was twenty-four years of atw, and leaves a widow and children in New Zealand.
