PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS
WELLINGTON, Nov. 14
The following promotions and transfers were announced to-day by the Commissioner of Police (Mr V. B. Mellveney)
Sergeant G. H. Lambert transferred from'Otahuhu to Ponsonby to replace Sergeant Hammond, retired. Sergeant A. E. Rowell replaces Sergeant Lambert at Otahuhu. Sergeant J. F. Macnamara, of Christchurch, takes charge of lhames Station. Sergeant J. H. Armstrong, of Clyde takes charge of Balclutha, and will not he replaced at Clyde. Constable J. O’Connell of Clyde takes charge of that ’district. Constable A. K. Hamilton, of Kaitangata, goes to Cobden to replace Constable Baird, retired. Constable A. D. Pearce, of Bavlclutha, takes charge of Kaitangata. Constables -T. Kennedy, of Howick, and J. *M. Devereux, of Thames South exchange stations. Constable C. Robb, of Millerton takes charge at Otira, Station, replacing Constable Caldwell,- who has been transferred to Rarotonga. Constable E. M. Best, of Hokitika, takes temporary charge at Millerton Station. Constable A. Olsen of Port Await ui, goes to Mercer to replace Constable Douglas, deceased. Constable A. Barnes, of Te Aroha, takes charge at Port Awnnui Station. Constable P. O’Gorman, of Kaitaia goes to Christchurch, He . will be replaced by Constable E. Buckley, from Auckland, Sergeant D. -T. O’Neill, of Tailiape takes charge at Onehunga Station, replacing Sergeant Cruicksk'ank, retired. Sergeant H. J. -foyce, Palmerston, North, takes charge at Tailiape. He is being replaced by Sergeant Hill of Wellington. Constable W. O’Donnell, from Johnsonville, promoted to the rank of sergeant, and replaces Sergeant Hill at Wellington. , Constable o. ' I Tocker of Seddonvile takes charge gt Jolms'onville. " Constable S. Paul, of Port Chalmers, takes charge at Seddonville. Constahie T. Wolfendale, of Ivaikohe promoted to the rank of sergeant and transferred to Christchurch. , He will he replaced by Constable J. McMullan, of Taupo. Constable W. J. Brown of Ngaruawahia, takes charge at Taupo Station. _ Constable J, Johnson, of Eotorua, takes charge at Tokaanu, replacing Constable, G. Johnson, resigned. Constables J. O’Shea, of Arrowtown and L. T. Moore, of Otautau, exchange stations.
