INSURANCES TO BE LOWERED AGAIN. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph- Copyright). LONDON, November 14. The “Financial Times” comments that the Committee of the institute of London Underwiters recommends the abandonment of the interim *v:.iranty imposed against coals as cargo to Australia, following on the recent fires, so that in future, the renewal of insurances on both fleets and on individual hulls can be effected regardless of the coal cargo.
BRITISH MINE OAYKERS
LONDON, November 13
Despite the Alining Owners’ Association’s objection of the Government s coal scheme, the Yorkshire mine owners have passed a resolution to-day accepting a reduction of the hours to seven and a half. The Yorkshire owners also have iesolvcd on accepting the Government’s marketing scheme, which they ronsi 1ered to he sound, and to he likely to promote the industry’s interests.
MINERS SUPPORT GOVERNMENT,
LONDON, November 14
The Cabinet last night received from the Executive of the Miners’ Federation assurances of their support for the Cabinet’s pending legislation lealing with hours and so forth. The “Daily Herald” says that the Government’s hill will include a provision that will he a reply to the coal owners’ refusal to negotiate a national agreement.
