The infant son of Mr H. L. Boyce, Conservative M.P. for Gloucester, an Australian, was christened in the crypt of the Chapel of the House of Commons, by the Bishop of Gloucester, in the presence of four hundred guests. This is the first time in history that a child of Australian parents has been christened at a Royal Palace.

There is an unprecedented glut of grain in England owing to an enormous influx of wheat from Argentine The storage accommodation at Liverpool is full, and even overloaded. Ten ships are unable to unload about a million quarters of grain at the Merseyside at present.
