It is learned the tragic Princess Victoria was reduced to dire straits before her death, as the direct outconuof her marriage to Zoubkoff. A London woman, who recently visited the Princess at Bonn, slates that Victoria up to the last till loved Zoubkoff, and though she was heavily in debt, she insisted on sending him money to Luxembourg. The Princess held the ex-Kaiser responsible lor 'Zoubkoff’s expulsion from Germany.
The London woman adds: “A month or two ago the Princess was so beset by creditors that she wrote begging me to approach influential people in London on her behalf, and she even suggested that I should write to the King and the Prince of Wales.”
The proceeds from the recent sale of her jewels and heirlooms were only sufficient to liquidate half of her debts. A report, from Bonn states that Princess Victoria will be buried at Cyonberg. Castle; beside her mother, who was the eldest daughter of Queen Victoria.'
