THE NARRABBI MURDER MYSTERY.

Police investigations into the Karra l>ri murder mystery have resulted in the detention of a man at Glen Lines. The police inquiries are seriously hampered owing to the head being missing from the mangled trunk.
A careful search is proceeding along all the watercourses.

The rapid growth of Sydney is strikingly indicated bv. the annual report of the AYater and Sewerage Board for 1928-29, which shows that 11,316 new buildings of a total value of £17,500,000 have been erected during the past year, or £2,000,000 worth more houses than in the previous year.

WOOL MARKET IMPROVEMENT.
SYDNEY, Nov. 13
At the wool sales to-day 10,172 bales were sold. There was a brisk demand for comebacks and crossbreds, Japan and Russia competing strongly. There were good clearances. Fine quality wools were still in special demand. A record price for the season, 243 pence per pound, was paid for greasy merino fleece, and 23J oence for lambs’ wool.
