LABOUR’S PAPER

LONDON, Nov. 12
The Labour “Daily Herald’’ to-day announced the registration of a new company, the Daily Herald 1929 Limited, to assume the complete responsibility for tlie future of the newspaper. Forty nine per cent, of the shares are held by the Trade Union Congress, and fifty one per cent, by Odhani’s Press, which will print the paper. Of the Paper Board’s nine directors four will represent the Trade Union Congress, and live Odhani’s Press. Outlining the paper’s policy, Air W. Alellor, the Editor, stresses that it will he a determined and fixed policy advocated and pursued from time to time by the National Labour Party and tlie Trade Union Congress. The Editor adds: “The aim is clear—that of a great national newspaper, appealing to all sorts and conditions of people, hut 'inspired by this steady, unfaltering purpose.” The “Daily Herald” will be enlarged. The staff will ho introduced, and world wide news Services, comparable with those of the other dailies, will he organised for the Herald.
