SWIMMING
CARNIVAL DATE DECLINED. CJnUSTCHURCII, November 13. At a meeting of Canterbury Swimming Centre, notice was received from the New Zealand Council of the itinerary for the tour of the Australian swimmers, N. Ryan and R. Grier. The date allotted to Christchurch was Monday, December 30th, and it was resolved that the Council he written to and the date declined on the grounds that it was an impossible day for the success of a carnival and also pointing out that if a date after the holidays could he arranged Canterbury would fall into line.
