The airship ‘TL.IGF’' rode out a severe gale of wind at its; mooring mast, i lie gale often* reached a velocity of 7,0 miles an hour. Several air -liners had-j thrilling experiences through the ' gale which forced them to land at emergency aerodromes.
Mountainous seas over the Channel seriously interfered with the crossing. Heavy rains fell throughout England, causing floods in the lowlying centres. -■ , .
