Feeling reference to the indisposition of the Prime Minister was made in the House of Representatives to-day. The Acting-Leader of 'the House (Hon Mr Rorbes) said it must have been a matter of regret to Sir Joseph that he had not been able to take his place in the House during the latter part of the session. Sir Joseph had made a wise decision in choosing Mr Forbes as his right-hand man. The Minister did not know the amount of trouble be had avo'ded owing to the high reward the Opposition had for him. Things might have happened—very difficult things—had it not been for him, and Mr Forbes could - take credit for the very competent way in which he had handled the business of the House.
