Razor slashings have become so frequent- in Sydney and the su'buros, that hardly a day passes without a victim being received in the hospital. Arthur Mefret was last night attacked at Stanmore, and twelve stitches had to he inserted in a liveinch gash in his neck. Tomlinson, another recent victim, although dying, refuses to speak. Ho was connected with a sensational shooting affray at Maroubra in July at the home of Tilly Devine. The wife of the man then arrested is being guarded by armed police in consequence of a threat received by her.
A LOVE TRAGEDY. (Received this dav at 10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Nov. 12. A double shooting fatality occurred at Cambacanya. William McLaren shot Miss Browii, then turned the gun on himself. It is believed unrequited love was responsible.
A FLYING FATALITY
MELBOURNE, Nov. 12
While practising landing at the Air Force Trailing School, a Moth ’plane piloted iby Officer Shaw crashed.., The ihaohine was wrecked and Shaw is not expected to recover.
