(London Paper.) “Gentlemen, I give you the King.” Many of the guests at a 1 dinner given by Air Arthur Henderson, the Foreign Secretary, at Geneva the other night, seemed quite surprised at a Socialist Minister proposed such a toast, especially as his predecessors never used it on like occasions. At the carriage door he offered the porter a shilling, but the porter would not take it. “You are Air So-and-so, sir, aren’t you?” asked the porter. “Yes,” said the Alinister. “Then comrade,” said the porter, “’’m taking no money, but I’d like to introduce a few pals.” The Alinister acquiesced, and the pained private secretary remained at tne carriage door while the Cabinet Alinister enjoyed a few minutes chaff with such “comrades” as could be found on the platform.
