A COLLISION

A NARROW ESCAPE. CHRISTCHURCH. Nov. 9. At Colombo Street crossing last evening, a collision occurred between the express'from the south and a five-sea ter sedan car owned by Mr E. Levvev, S;M. When the express was some distance away Air Levvev was apparently signalled on by the crossing keeper, biit the ear stalled, pro jecting ’ slightly over the tracks. Air Lcyvey got out of the bar on his own side and went round to assist his wife"to get out. The crossing keeper attempted to help Air Levvev to push Iris car clear of the train but they were not. .successful. Nobody was injuijod. The car suffered damage to Hid right front wing.
