MAJOR ATTACKED. " r " AFTER THREE YEARS. BOURNEMOUTH, Sept. 20. A. retriever’s antipathy to a man as the result of an incident three year.-i ago was described .here today, when Dr Arthur Leo, of St. Stephen’s-road, Bournemouth, was summoned for not keeping an alleged, dangerous dog under proper control. It was stated that three years ago Major S.. AY. Swcetman, of Terraeeioad, Bournemouth, threw a stone at the dog, and since then the animal had taken a dislike to him. V >th anyone else it was very docile. Major Swcetman said that when lie was walking through the Bournemouth pleasure grounds the dog made a determined rush towards him. He had nothing to defend himself with, so lie bolted into a crowd. “ Tliis lias been going on for three years,” he said. “A lortnight ago 1 had to stop on the pier until I saw the dog go away, and it has attacked me on other occasions.” AVON DERFCL MEMORY.
