PLAGUE OF FLTES. A plague of flies and midges recently visited Central Northamptonshire and particularly the Wellingborough district. Clouds of insects swept through the streets of Wellingborough. Motor cyclists fell from their machines, momentarily blinded, and motor car drivers had to clear their windscreens of the flies. In the afternoon the great swarm had disappeared.
