VANCOUVER, November 11
Canada’s trade with the Orient is growing amazingly. The exports for the year ended September, were six millions sterling, which is double, those of any previous year. The exports to Japan exceeded eight millions sterling which represents a twenty per cent gain. Australia and New Zealand in volume are almost on the same level as purchasers from Canada. The exports to Australia are four millions sterling, being an increase of thirty per cent. The sales to New Zealand amount to three million six hundred thousand sterling, 'being an increase of fifty per cent.
The imports from Australia, have decreased by £200,000, while the purchases from New Zealand increased by fifty per cent., and total £2,600,000.
