SUVA, November 5.
A motion favouring a common electoral roll was proposed by three Indian members of the Fijian Legislative Council. The motion was defeated.
The three Indian members thereup n withdrew, announcing their intention to resign from the Council. Under new letters patent tile Indians elect three members on a communal roll, and the Europeans el cot six members on' a. separate roll. The Indians want one common roll. Both the European representatives and the Government are definitely opposed to their motion.
