GREYMOUTH JOCKEY CLUB
GREYMOUTH, Nov. 3
The District Committee of the Greymouth Jockey Club has received advice from the Racing Conference that E. Kingan, of Westport, has been granted a trainer’s license. The Dis-
..ict Committee recommended that a jockey’s license be granted to Douglas Butler, employed by him and formerly attached to AY. Hawthorne’s stables in Auckland.
The programme of the Reefton Jo: key Club’s January meeting was approved. The programmes for the Westport Jockey Club’s meeting on April 12th. and 14th. and the Greymouth Jockey Llu'h for December 28th. and January Its. were also approved. It was stilted by the secretary that in the vicinity of 250 passes were issued by the Greymouth Jockey Club for its last meeting. The Hokitika and Kumara Racing Clubs were sent about thirty each, it being stipulated that' they were not transferable and that they should be signed by the recipients The practice of transferring them was deprecated and the secretary had circularised the clubs to the effect that if the courtesy were abused it would be withheld.
