“Discovery H” was launched at Port Glasgow. An unusual feature in connection with the launching was that she left the ways with her boilers and machinery on board, practically ready for sea trials.
FOOTBALL MANAGER INJURED

Manager Sunderland after the match at Oldham, when alighting from a motor coach outside a Club at which an official dinner was being hold, was caught by a passing motor car and sustained a head injury. A doctor rendered first aid in the street after which he was without delay taken to a hospital where it was found his injuries Were not serious, and he is progressing favourably.

Counsel in a divorce case to-day stated tha't, according to the. law in 'Russia, every husband or wife, without notifying the other, can go to a certain Soviet Department- of a Russian Consulate abroad, and register a divorce, which operates immediately, and is absolute. Mr Justice Hill asked: Suppose one party is aware what is about to be done, and appears at the Consulate to oppose it, would any attention be paid to the) protest? A member of the Russian Bar, who was giving evidence: No.
MORE ZEPPELINS BUILDING IN GERMANY. BERLIN, Nov. 2. Kerr Kiep, Director of the Hamburg Nautical Society, announces the forthcoming construction of four Zeppelins of the same length as the Graf Zeppelin, and of a larger cubic capacity. Two are for America.
The Hamiburg-America Line is contributing largely towards the cost.
POLISH POLITICS. WARSAW, Nov. 1
Last night’s militarist intimidation of Parliament had a sequel to-day when -Socialists assembled in a public square. An ex-member of the Cabinet, M. Arciszewksi, violently attacked Marshal Pilsudski’s policy. The police ordered him to desist. Then they chargecf the crowd with drawn sabres, .wounding eight, Including two Socialists Parliamentarians, Prager and Dubois. BERLIN, November 2.
‘Germany and Poland have signed an agreement for the settling of their differences. The most important of these is that Poland renounces her right to purchase farms held by German after the death of the present owners.
